The Whitney Museum of American Art is located at the corner of Gansevoort and Tenth Avenue in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. Designed by architect Renzo Piano, the museum building is comprised of approximately 50,000 square feet of indoor galleries and 13,000 square feet of outdoor exhibition space and terraces facing the High line. PHA provided civil engineering design services for the project, including design of street elements within the public right-of-way, design of the street geometry, roadway design, grading, signage, site connection plans as well as utility design and coordination.
