Throgs Neck Bridge (TN-49)

The TN-49 project included roadway deck rehabilitation / replacement of the suspended spans at the Throgs Neck Bridge. PHA provided traffic and civil engineering services as a subconsultant to Thornton Tomasetti Associates Inc. / WSP.  PHA prepared a traffic analysis and user cost study to facilitate the evaluation of construction staging schemes. PHA, using the Vissim traffic modeling package, also evaluated how construction-related reductions in capacity would affect queuing on the bridge.  Level of service analyses for the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge(BWB) was also conducted.
