South Conduit Avenue Water Main

PHA, as a subconsultant, provided community construction liaison services for NYCDDC’s project to reconstruct the distribution water main along South Conduit Avenue between 124th and 134th Street, and other nearby roadways. The project involved replacement of existing deteriorated water main pipes with new ductile iron pipe, new hydrants, valves, and wet connection tapping, pipe repair using CIPP, and street restoration. The community construction liaison (CCL), in coordination with NYCDDC and the contractor, was responsible for alerting the local community of upcoming water shutdowns, and keeping the community abreast of contract-related construction schedules and activities.
