PHA provided traffic and schematic civil engineering services for the closure of East 25th Street between Third and Lexington Avenues to create a pedestrian plaza adjacent to the Baruch College campus. The project required preparation of a Community Reassessment, Impact and Amelioration (CRIA) Statement for the street closure, including a detailed assessment of the project's impact on traffic and parking in the surrounding area. It also included extensive coordination with the community and review agencies, including NYCDOT, NYCDEP, FDNY and NYPD. The firm then provided final design services for the permanent plaza for NYCDDC as a subconsultant to Mathews Nielsen. PHA’s responsibilities included grading and drainage design, as well as asssociated agency coordination.
