PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The City of New York is planning to construct a second 911 call and dispatch center in the north central Bronx. The development will consist of an approximately 493,500 square foot office building and an approximately 500-space accessory parking garage structure on an 8.9-acre site. PHA is providing civil engineering services for the project as a subconsultant to Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. PHA’s responsibilities include design and coordination of all utility connections to the local street system. The firm is also responsible for designing the necessary geometric, grading, erosion and sediment control, pavement, striping and utility plans, as well as sustainable design options for exterior portions of the project site. PHA is developing schematic designs for the project’s parking garage, and also prepared the EIS and mapping application for the project.
